About me
Buon Giorno Welcome to my little piece of Italy. How well do I remember sitting in the piazza in Perugia, opposite the cathedral. And, walking down the hill to the train station (and walking uphill with a backpack!). The photo shows part of the magnificent karri and jarrah forrests of South West Western Australia. I originally come from Perth in Western Australia. I love travelling, photography and art - a mellifluous combination - and I hope to bring you some of the joys of my years of travelling. As you can tell, one of the few television programs I regularly watch (apart from Australian Rules Football!!) is the X-files. I live in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on the edge of a National Park.
What I'm interested in:
  • Cultural Policy
    I am currently completing a MA in Science and Technology Policy and I am interested in the long term development of a contemporary model for radio in the context of cultural studies.
  • Media Policy
    I work for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, one of two public broadcasters in Australia. The ABC provides radio, television, online and concert music (symphony orchestra) services to all Australians, as well as Radio Australia and Australia TV into the Asia-Pacific region.
  • New Technology
    Currently, I'm Senior Project Officer in the Technology Strategy & Development division. The ABC, like other broadcasters, is on the cusp of new digital transmission technologies.
